This is water at room temperature. Notice the food coloring swirling and mixing nicely because the molecules are moving more quickly than the nearly freezing molecules.

This water is nearly boiling. Blue and red are added to make what appears to be black water. The mixing occurred so quickly that there was no time to photograph the two colors being added.
